Indrani Royan started RaniPink Designer boutique in 2013. She was born and brought up in Assam , she made Bangalore her home after marriage and is “influenced by the varied hues and styles of Assam and namma Bengaluru. Indrani has always been passionate about designing.She graduated from Pearl Academy , New Delhi. Her boutique gradually grew famous and she recently participated at the Blender’s Pride Bangalore Fashion Week at Sheraton Grand Bangalore, where she showcased her latest collection celebrating the urban woman. Called “An Ode To The Urban Princess”,the collection grabbed eyeballs at the show for its bright hues,cuts and styling. Her clothes are a balance of modern styles and ethnic roots to mirror the various roles of an Urban womn.She loves both Indian and Western wear, but she is little partial towards Indian weaves and designs. All her designs are worked on crepe,satin,raw silk and path muga “as they give a rich look”.

Inspired by the world around her and true to her Indian roots, Deepika Govind is one of Bangalore’s most celebrated fashion designers. She draw inspiration from the rich Indian heritage and give it a touch of modernity. Her collections have been based around traditional weaves and natural dyes. After a masters degree in economics from Stella Maris College in Chennai. Deepika 38, attended a few programmes at NIFT in Bangalore and was informally trained by the NIFT fashion design head in Delhi. She mainly focusses on block print, graphics print,digital print and animal prints etc. Although Govind is always more inclined toward some sort of hand work like scribbling through textile paint or using a sponge to create patterns on fabric.

Lakshmi Keerthi, 40, recently gave up a 15-year long corporate career and a cushy job as the head of talent acquisition for a multinational firm to follow her dream. Her Plush Studio in a colonial bungalow, Hatwork’s Boulevard is tucked away on busy Cunningham Road. She mainly focuses on bridal design. She started the business with the intention of bridging the gap for mid-range clothing customisation. She loves to mix materials on sarees. Combining fabrics like tussars, organzas, gerogettes and nets is interesting and unique.
Sooraj chawla owns a Studio Chawla since December 2001 in bangalore. He has done his graduation in Apparel & Fashion from J.D Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore. His designs are creative yet wearable at the same time. Moving on from basic western clothing ranging from tops to tunics to dresses, he specializes in saree’s lehenga’s ,Bridal ware and Trousseau’s for women and for men.His collections are traditional in his styling, the embroidery and embellishments while they flaunt modernity in their cuts and fabrics. Mostly, Lycra, Velvet, georgette and chiffon are his favourite fabrics.Each of his outfit is styled differently. His garments are a blend contemporary with a hint of tradition.In 2008,he opened flagship store in bangalore called ‘BELLE COUTURE’ showcasing his label ‘SOORAJ CHWLA’ and also fresh designers form all over India. From 2010-present, he is working as a freelance fashion stylist.

Shiny Alexander is a head designer at Shiny Alexander Signature Store. She has done her bsc. from VET college in Fashion & Apparel design. She is known for her extreme talent and creativity in her work. She was guest faculty member in NIFT for 4 months, And a part time faculty member in WLC College. This Signature Store includes tailors for ladies blouse,bridal wear,Indo- Western etc. A hi-fashioned design studio for women and kids in the heart of the city, where fashion is not forced but are custom designed specially to suite occasion and budget.They specialise in both Indian and Western wears.
